I am 5'9 i weght about 140 pounds and wanna get more muscle in to me. Some advice please.?

Yo guys i wanna try out for football and im do bout 120 push ups 4-5 times a week is this enough or should i do some more pushingI am 5'9 i weght about 140 pounds and wanna get more muscle in to me. Some advice please.?
depends on what positition you are playing, exercise you legs ALOT more than your arms and keep your legs moving when your driving (if you play O-line like i did)
