once you insurance is back ask to be sent to an infertility specialist. they will run tests that OB/GYN won't.

with irregular periods means irregular or no ovulation which can make getting pregnant tricky.

PLUS, you don't want to be pregnant and NOT have insurance - that is just silly!!!
Veronica, to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.
i don't want to sound like a trashy girl or anything but i don't know how else to say it so i'll just tell you. i'm 10 weeks pregnant and the position that works best to get pregnant is doggy style.
u should see a doctor cause if u have irregular cycle that will prevent u from having a baby. 2 years is a long time. quit trying and see a doctor.
I feel your pain girl!(hugs) I was in the same situation as far as the irregular periods,I also went to the doctor and he told us everything is fine! I think that maybe it's just not time and that maybe we need to take care of things before we bring another life into the world! So we've started excercising and taking vitamins and supplements and trying to eat right and everything. We've been trying for almost 3 years! Still nothing ,but I'm not losing hope! I have 3 kids and I know I can have more , so it's a timing thing I guess! I want to give you some advice if you don't mind , before you try fertility drugs try something natural to help regulate your periods and help you get pregnant! Pray to God and in time He will give you guys what you want so desperatley! It doesn't hurt to take care of yourself either ! In addition to these sites that I 'm going to give you I'm going to give you some vitamins and supplements you can consider here are some sites tryingtoconceive.com herbalremedies.com and www.ovulex.com also it will help if you buy a basal thermometer so you can keep track of your temperature before and after ovulation try this site to help you webmd.com and mymonthlycycles.com Some of these supplements can keep you regular once your periods start to regulate fish oil , vitaminE ,Geritol complete or Centrum multivitamin, vitaminC , flax seed oil ,and a calcium supplement.I hope we get some good news soon as far as the baby department , because it seems like we've been on a long journey and the rewards of our travel are soon to be satisfied! To regulate my period I took ovulex for 1 month and I 've been having a period every month! I hope I 've given you some advice that you can use ! I wish you luck on your ttc journey , have a lovely night!
try a site like http://www.ovulation-calculator.com/ or http://mymonthlycycles.com to help you track your fertility - you won't completely be able to rely on your period since it is irregular - you will have to use basal body temp and cervical fluid to help you know when you ovluate....try seeing a fertility specialist to give you pointers to help as well
If you're not getting your period regularly, then you're not ovulating or at least not ovulating regularly. I'm not saying that your dr. is wrong, but it doesn't sound to me that you're okay if your periods are irregular like that. You need to see if you're ovulating - your dr. can run a blood test to check your progesterone levels during the last part of your cycle (usually around day 21 if you have ';normal'; 28-day cycles, later if you have longer cycles). This should tell if you ovulated.

If you've been trying for two years around the time that you should be ovulating and you haven't gotten pregnant yet, it doesn't sound like both of you are ';good';. It'd probably be a good idea to get a second opinion.
If your insurance is reinstated, I would definitely consider going to an infertility specialist, not just the gynocologist. There are a variety of special tests that they can run that the gyno does not that can help determine why you are not getting pregnant. Once this is discovered, he can help you get pregnant. Good luck!
Something you can do to help regulate your periods until you get to the doc is to take Vitex. It's an herbal capsule. You can get it at GNC and it helps to get your hormones in check. I took it for 3 cycles and I was good. My cycles got regular and I got pregnant. Good luck! I know how you're feeling, cause I was there too!
