Now i have to explain, im not trying to get out of serving my country or anything of the sort, i simply want to switch and join the US Marine Corp. I originally joined the NG to pay for private school tuition but shortly after joining my mother began having medical problem so i withdrew. Before i joined the NG all i wanted was to be was a Marine and still do, but i sacrificed that to stay in a good school. But now that im not attending private school and im back in public school, i want got out the guard and continue my aspiration to be a Marine. Ive tried talking to my RSP nco and to put it kindly he gets pissed at the thought. I personally dont see why there giving me so much flack im trying to leave the NG for ACTIVE DUTY MARINE CORP for crying out loud the goverments gonna get its time out of me just in a different brach. Any way well im trying get out with out doing somthing stupid and get a dishonorable discharge, so if you have any advice id be greatful. Semper FiIm in the national guard, im in the RSP program, i havent been to BCT or AIT. I want to get out, any advice?
I'm sure there is a way out, especially cause you are only a recruit, thus the name Recruit Sustainment Program. IF you went to bct and ait, no way out. Try talking to your NG recruiters, or if they don't help the SC *station commander* at the office. Good luck!Im in the national guard, im in the RSP program, i havent been to BCT or AIT. LOL, your not bound to your contract until you go to basic training, meaning you can back out anytime before that.
Sir, Go to your local Marine recruiter and explain the above %26amp; your honest desire to be a Marine-----He is most likely person to kick some idiot butt %26amp; help you!! Good luck to you ---Go Marine.
I would be if there is a way that your Marine recruiter can figure it out.
Good luck!
