I have a degree in physics, but won't get into graduate school for it. I'm thinking of a second degree. Advice

I'm one class away from a physics degree, with a rather poor gpa. I'm good at physics, but I'll never get into a gradschool with my transcript. I'm also a (pretty damn good) writer, and read 6.5 pages a minute. I learn very quickly. Whats a good second degree to get that will help me get a job, or move on to an interesting Graduate Program, that won't take 3 years to complete? I'm thinking English (I'm really good at it) - but everyone tells me I won't get any jobs! I think Aereospace Engineering is cool, but theres no degree programs for it near the Pittsburgh region. Biology also seems cool, but would take forever to get a second degree in (as opposed to English or Engineering, which have synergy with courses I've already taken.) What should I do with my life?

P.S. My physics G.P.A is low (around 2.4), but my English G.P.A. is 4.0, and I've had a fair number of English courses.I have a degree in physics, but won't get into graduate school for it. I'm thinking of a second degree. Advice
Have you considered science writing? You could probably do that with a low GPA in physics (it's still better science training than what most good writers have), and good writing skills. Often this is a freelance job market, so it might be a little hard while you're getting started, but it might be up your alley.
