We got a quote from Everest for a kitchen and its way high. We arent good at DIY and hence want a reliable co to do it.Moben, kitchen direct, ikea , homebase-whats your experience? For those in the UK, whats your advice on the best company for getting a new kitchen/bathroom?
the name does not matter..they all sub-contract the work to local companies.
there are 3 things you have to be careful about.
1)choosing the quality of the units and work top
2)making sure your kitchen has proper flat and straight walls, with minimum pillars, and good flat floor.
3)after fitting the kitchen..its the fine final finishing touches have to be dealt with.
i would advise buying units in, and getting your own fitter in to fit.and the electrician..forget Everest,Moben,Kitchens direct..far too expensive.
There are lot of Indian craftsmen who Willl do a proper job, and supply units as well.try them...mail me, wil give you add of ones my friend used....For those in the UK, whats your advice on the best company for getting a new kitchen/bathroom?
Chains are over-priced; use an independent supplier.
If he's going to be the to fit it; he'll make sure that it's designed right. Also if there are any 'issues' there won't be any back-passing. i've seen several B%26amp;Q kitchens (in Yorks) where B%26amp;Q refute all problems.
Try B%26amp;Q friend of mine just had his kitchen done by them and it seemed good quality.
personally i think you should go to an independent shop
when my mother was buying a kitchen for my late grandfathers house she had a lot of bother with MFI and ended up going to a family run business and getting a better kitchen for the same price.
and our bathrooms were from a local company as well, they stock all the top brands, but there is not fuss because queerys aren't having to filter through chains of employees and branches and complicated policies
plus it supports local business
Get real use the local public conviences and save your dough man, or relieve yourselves over mr brown and the rest of his s**ts
I heard B%26amp;Q was pretty good.
But if you're no good at DIY...
Ikea is pretty cool but not that cheap though.
Good luck to y'all!
