What else should I do in addition to walking 4 times a week? When will I see results? Will I get in shape by New years? What foods should I eat more of , less of and NONE of? Can I have a slice of pizza with lemonade for lunch today? I have been eating quite healthy lately except for last night when I was hungary and over ate! Yesterday I had eggs( no yolk) with wheat bread and orange juice..then I had an apple with a few almonds...and for dinner I had rice, chicke, and pasta! Alot of it ! Did I screw up???I've been walking for 1hr, 4 times a week ..trying to get in shape and need advice!?
drink lots of water, if you can run or jog for the smae distance- you lose more liquid fat.
work out- lifting and over all workouts- abbs....
it is not bad to eat a bid meal for dinner, but it would be alot better to have like 5 small meals- they can be very small.I've been walking for 1hr, 4 times a week ..trying to get in shape and need advice!?
I just posted a routine on my free webpage.

Great work out in addition to your walking.
this site will help you find out what's right for you. if you eat fiber at meals, you will stay fuller longer and won't overeat as much. remember, portion size is the most important thing. one slice of cheese pizza isn't bad, but add toppings or eat more than 1 slice and you add tons of calories.
First figure out your daily calorie intake, there is a certain amount of calories per day that you need to maintain your weight. Example, maybe you need 2500 calories a day to maintain your weight, if you ran for an hour which might equal 400 calories burned and you ate 2900 calories for that whole day, which turns out to be 2500 calories to maintain your weight, you will be on your way to NO results. figure out your daily calorie intake and how many calories you burn a day. You need to eat 300 to 500 calories less of your daily calorie intake for a healthy weight lose. This is truly the key to loosing weight. I have so much more information that I could give you but it would take me forever to write it down
Drinking water is really key, and I saw results from just drinking water almost immediatley. Walking is a great exercise, and I saw results within weeks.
Try running for a few minutes every 30 minutes or so during your walk, or try to find areas with an incline for better resistance. I read about it, and it give me more energy when I do it.
Everyone screws up their diet now and again. Today is a new day, so get back on that wagon! It's the long-term that matters, here.
If you can, see a personal trainer and learn how to add resistance training (lifting small weights) to your workout routine. You'll firm up, and the extra muscle will help you burn more fat.
Also, don't be afraid to shake up your workout routine a little. Maybe substitute a night of dancing or a day trip by canoe once in a while. It will prevent boredom and help reduce the ';plateau effect';-when you stop seeing results because your body is used to your workout.
